The Static Protection Kit is part of an engineered package for the safe pumping of flammable and combustible liquids. This static protection kit is used with Finish Thompson PFS and TTS series power pumps (when used in conjunction with explosion proof electric or air motors on stainless steel tubes).
The Static Protection Kit is a conductive, 4 foot long cross-linked polyethylene discharge hose with a 1 inch hose barb, grounding wire, and cables to bond the pump, motor, hose and drum. It will also limit the pumps output velocity to 3 feet/second maximum (about 7 gpm through a 1 inch hose). Keeping the velocity of the liquid low significantly reduces the hazard of a spark igniting flammable liquids.
