This Lutz pump tube for mixing and pumping emulsions and suspensions is designed to be used in situations where it is necessary to mix a pump in a single operation. The 39 inch long polypropylene mixing pump tube has a 50 mm diameter for use in narrow necked containers or in drums with a 2 inch bung.
The drive shaft of the mixing pump tube is sealed by a single acting mechanical seal above the impeller, making a robust sealing system. The mechanical seal is constructed of carbon, SiC, Viton®, and HC. This pump tube is not allowed to run dry. The pump tube is non-lubricated, preventing contamination of the liquids pumped.
The flow rate, viscosity and density of the material determine the mixing intensity and the delivery rate of the mixing pump tube (mixture quantity should preferably not exceed 55 gallons if the medium is thin-bodied).
The polypropylene pump tube has polypropylene housing and ETFE/PTFE bearings, stainless steel drive shaft, and polypropylene radial-flow impeller.
Motors are are interchangeable with the polypropylene mixing pump tube. Must order motor and pump separately.
Note: The polypropylene mixing pump tube is not to be used for flammable liquids.
