This FM approved 2 inch drum plug is made of a reinforced nylon material which provides a reliable seal. When exposed to heat, the nylon plug melts away in the center to allow gases to vent, reducing the risk of explosion. The nylon drum plugs are ideal for use with petroleum products.
This OEM quality nylon plug is precision injected molded for a leak-tight fit in steel drums with circular-base bung openings. The nylon plug is white in color, and the gasket is a low density polyethylene that is irradiated so it can withstand high temperatures. The irradiated polyethylene gasket is used in general purpose applications and has an excellent resistance to chemicals.
